Science and Industry Museum - Leadership Team Workshop
“Thanks so much for this really helpful summary, and for facilitating such a great session last week. The work you put into planning and thinking about the day really paid off and I know we have all come away thinking differently about how we can best work together.”
Sally MacDonald, Director Science and Industry Museum
National Railway Museum - Leadership Team Programme
“Kay led us through a 2 day development programme as 6 virtual sessions spread over 3 months, taking the COVID working from home as a fantastic opportunity to reflect on how we worked as a team. With Kay’s expert guidance she delivered a programme that had proper time to implement all that we were learning between each session. The outcomes are staggering with a more resilient, closer aligned team who are making quicker, better strategic decisions, whilst empowering their own teams.

British Museum - virtual events training
“I would highly recommend working with Sea Light Development. They developed a programme of training designed around our needs that supported our Learning team to switch from in person delivery at the Museum to successful online event delivery….Paul and Kay were able to work with people at very different levels and ensure they all had a great experience. The training has enabled us to reach audiences in over 30 countries and to reach three times as many people as we would normally engage in our public events.”
Sarah Saunders, Head of Learning and National Partnerships, The British Museum.
christian aid - Unconscious bias live virtual learning
I will be eternally grateful to Kay for her professional and creative approach in developing a programme of virtual classroom learning on unconscious bias for our global leadership team. She really demonstrated her skills in performance consulting, analysing the issue, formulating virtual, interactive sessions based on experiences, scenarios and real-life situations. The programme of sixteen sessions was created and delivered inside a tight six week time frame to over 100 managers, and was a tribute to Kay’s undoubted skills around facilitation, commitment and just in time delivery. I admire Kay in so many aspects of consultancy - incisive decision making, collaboration, concentrating on actions and outcomes. Due to her efforts, we are embarking on a new journey of growth and transformation with diversity and inclusion at the heart of our plans. I recommend Kay in devising value for money learning for the benefit of organisations seeking lasting change.

Leadership team building
“I really appreciate the time you put into planning the day with us beforehand, and your wise input and revisions to an over-ambitious agenda! The mix of activities was great too - time flew. You were very skilled at keeping us on task, but also at stepping back and observing - quite seamless!”
Sally MacDonald, Director Science and Industry Museum
People Management development
“The workshop with Kay was the most engaging training I have experienced, as a new line manager I was nervous and lacking confidence. Kay had planned practical elements to the course which were thought provoking, I could easily link each section to what I was currently doing with my team and how I could adapt my approach. During this training we put every section of the toolkit provided into practice using our current situations as examples. Overall, it was a fantastic course which left me feeling confident to adapt my leadership style using the tools provided, I will be keeping an eye out for more of these days with Sea light Development.”
Siobhan Devanny, Explainer Team Leader, National Science and Media Museum.
“Sea Light Development recently delivered a one day ‘People Management Essentials’ course to the people managers in my team. This team were struggling with the impact of change after recently being transferred from another organisation. They were also adjusting to managing at a distance due to the roster patterns of their team. The training was very useful and well received by all and resulted in a shared set of tools for the team. I noticed a tangible difference in attitude and performance the week after the training and continue to notice new, positive language being used to refer to management techniques. The training is well paced with plenty of interactions and energy levels were high all day.”

Coaching
“I would highly recommend Kay at Sea Light Development. I had a two-hour coaching session with her, and it has given me the boost I needed. I haven't had career coaching before, so I wasn't sure how we'd reach the outcomes I was hoping for, but we covered a lot of ground in two hours, and I've come away feeling enthused and full of ideas.” (Private client; name withheld to protect their privacy)
“The programme has really helped boost my confidence and helped me solidify my work ambitions into more achievable goals, giving me a real sense of ownership over my career. Working with Kay, I started to unpick what I wanted to make of my career and have started to put in place meaningful actions to develop in the way that I see as being most valuable.” (SMG employee; name withheld to protect their privacy)
